ANTI-RAGGING Policy

Bhimrao Pradhan College of Arts, Science & Commerce is committed to maintaining a safe and peaceful environment for all its students, free from any kind of ragging activities. Ragging is strictly prohibited within the campus and the college has zero-tolerance towards any such acts. To ensure a safe and healthy atmosphere for all the students, the college has constituted an Anti-ragging Committee, as per the UGC and AICTE regulations.

Objectives:
The main objective of the Anti-ragging Committee is to prevent any kind of ragging incidents on the college campus and provide a safe and secure environment for all the students. The committee aims to create awareness among the students about the negative consequences of ragging and to take necessary actions against those found guilty of any such activities.

Constitution:
The Anti-ragging Committee shall consist of the following members:

The Head of the Institution shall be the Chairman of the ARC.Dr. Bhagwan B. Pradhan
One Health Officer/Civil AdministratorDr. Sanjit T. Gawai
Four senior faculty members to be nominated by the PrincipalShri. M. P. Patange
 Shri. Pandit Kochewad
 Mrs. Monika Nichite
 Miss. Prajakta Khare

Responsibilities:

The Anti-ragging Committee shall have the following responsibilities:
1. To create awareness among the students, faculty, and staff about the harmful effects of ragging and to sensitize them towards the issue.
2. To take proactive measures to prevent any kind of raging incidents on the college campus.
3. To receive and investigate any complaint of ragging made by a student or faculty member and to take necessary actions against those found guilty.
4. To ensure that appropriate disciplinary action is taken against the students who are found guilty of ragging, as per the UGC and AICTE regulations.
5. To provide support and counseling to the victims of ragging.
6. To submit periodic reports to the UGC and AICTE on the status of the anti-ragging activities in the college.

Procedure:

1. Any student or faculty member who has been subjected to ragging or who has witnessed any such incidents can report the matter to the Anti-ragging Committee.
2. The Anti-ragging Committee shall investigate the matter and take necessary actions against those found guilty, as per the UGC and AICTE regulations.
3. The committee shall provide support and counseling to the victim of ragging.
4. The committee shall maintain confidentiality during the investigation and shall not disclose the identity of the complainant or the witnesses.
5. The committee shall submit a periodic report to the UGC and AICTE on the status of the anti-ragging activities in the college.

The Anti-ragging Committee shall take all necessary steps to prevent any kind of ragging incidents on the college campus and provide support and counseling to the victims. The college administration shall fully support the committee in its efforts to create awareness and prevent ragging in the college.
